Biofeedback Therapy

Biofeedback therapy, or the technique by which people can improve their health via control over certain body processes, has been proven to be an effective treatment for many conditions. Patients suffering from high blood pressure, tension headaches, migraines, chronic pain, and urinary incontinence have all shown promising improvements as a result of biofeedback therapy.

    Botanical Medicine

Botanical medicine, while based on traditional medicines and alternative healing methods, is making a resurgence in modern medicine as a method of treating or preventing diseases. Often used interchangeably with herbal medicine, botanical medicine is a more inclusive term, including parts of plants that aren’t herbs, such as bark, seeds, stems, and roots.

      Cardiovascular Testing

Cardiovascular diseases are among the most pervasive chronic conditions in medicine. Caused by atheroma, or small fatty lumps that form along arterial walls in the body, the presence of cardiovascular problems is often hard to detect without careful monitoring and testing.

        Neurotransmitter Testing

Neurotransmitters are natural chemicals developed within the brain that help facilitate communication between nerve cells throughout the body. Some examples of neurotransmitters include acetylcholine, serotonin, GABA, dopamine, norepinephrine, epinephrine, and glutamate.

          Environmental Medicine

Environmental medicine is focused on the interaction between humanity and the environment. On a custom patient-by-patient case, environmental medicine investigates the adverse reactions an individual may experience as a result of their exposure to environmental conditions.

            Functional Medicine

An integrative approach to healthcare, functional medicine treats illnesses and promotes wellness by focusing specifically on the unique bio-chemical aspects of each patient. From there, practitioners may focus on individually-tailored treatments and interventions to restore physiological and psychological balance.

              Hormone Replacement Therapy

Hormone replacement therapy is a standard practice for treating perimenopause and aging in women. By using estrogen and progesterone – two major female hormones – doctors can treat common symptoms of menopause.

                Intramuscular Injections

Intramuscular injections are used to deliver medication deep into a muscular system for faster absorption, intramuscular injections (II) are very common – the same technique is used to deliver vaccines such as influenza shots.

                  Naturopathic Medicine

A distinct primary health care profession, naturopathic medicine explores prevention, treatment, and optimum health through therapeutic methods and substances that help encourage individual self-healing by combining both modern and traditional methods of medicine.

                    Neural Therapy

Neural therapy is a healing system balancing the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) to create a state of homeostasis in the nervous system. Physical or emotional trauma, surgery, illness, disease, and scars, all have an effect on the ANS and can cause it to become blocked.

                      Nutritional Medicine

Nutritional medicine studies the impact of macronutrients and micronutrients on the chemical processes of the body at a cellular level. While plants can create their own optimal levels of nutrition via photosynthesis, humans must obtain all their nutrients through ingested foods and supplements.
